About a Boy (4/5)

The grammar is not to difficult but the sentenses can be long and complex sometimes, it's a mix though.

The story is a good blend of dialogues, thoughts and descriptions of the characters and events in the story.

The vocabluary changes a lot with the characters, Marcus speaks very oldfashion and mature even though he's only twelve. Will speaks very childish and swears a lot, he also uses alot of dialect.

The narrator is like god. He knows everything about everyone and the vocabluary he's using defines who the characters are

"You pathetic little shitbags." We think this is sentense explains what kind of person Ellie (Marcus Friend(sort of(in a way you dont know:):):) is.
"I dunno." Will said this and  it really shows what kind dialect he's usingh.

About a Boy (3/5)

After reading up on the info, neither one of us can say that it helped us understand the story better. The time and place, however, is inportant is important because it relates to music all the time.
The place is important because of the way the dress, eat and talk. But it could also take place in any other big city in England without any big differences in the story.
You can tell the time of the story because of the bands and music. For instance: "nobody's listening to Nirvana anymore".

About a Boy (2/5)

How has the story envolved:

But Marcus knows that she wont stay like that for long, so he starts to hang out in Wills flat and realizes that he have no kid. Expectations:

some of us had allready seen the movie and we thought it was a good one, so we have high expextations on the book

Story:

This drama begins with one of the main caracters (Marcus) mother breaks up with her boyfriend. Marcus himself have problems becuase of his parents divorce and the bullies in school. He's very mature, too mature for his low age 12. His mother goes to a a single parrents group called SPAT (Single Parents Alone Together) and she forces Marcusn to go to SPAT too.

Will however, is 36 years old and very hip and cool (atleast in his points of view). He's very selfish and inmature. After having a relationship with a good-looking single mother he starts going to SPAT meeting to meet more gorgeous single mothers, and there he meets Marcus and Suzie, Marcus mums best friend.

This story takes place in London in the 21st century.

Comments:

We all sympathy for Marcus since his having a very though time.

It's a very good and sad story.

It has very unique caracters.
